Firms within the financial sector often use Logical, Verbal and Numerical reasoning tests (also known as aptitude tests) as a way of objectively filtering the enormous number of applicants that they attract each year. If you’ve made it to the testing phase, then it’s safe to say that you were successfully able to demonstrate your proficiency in your initial application, and now your firm of choice wants to know what you’re really capable of!
Aptitude tests are particularly important, as failing to reach the minimum score in a given test will immediately eliminate you from the application process. However, as each of the three tests generally follows a standardized question format, with significant similarities and overlaps between the questions, they are often the easiest stage of recruitment to prepare for as well.
InternAhead offers THREE preparatory guides for aptitude tests – one for each of the three types. Our LOGICAL, VERBAL and NUMERICAL reasoning guides are designed for you to print off at home and work through in your own time, in order to fully acquaint you with the format and nature of the questions on each test. Each guide also contains a full set of answers, and is regularly updated in order to ensure that questions remain relevant each year.
Our guides are available in the following three combinations:
